Ending Type 1 Diabetes Together
Breakthrough T1D is the world’s leading type 1 diabetes (T1D) research and advocacy organization. We’re proud to support their mission to make type 1 a thing of the past.
In 2022, SanMar President and CEO Jeremy Lott was introduced to the resources and community of Breakthrough T1D when his son was diagnosed with type 1. He also discovered that many SanMar employees’ lives have also been affected by the condition.
Jeremy turned this knowledge to commitment, working with other employees and seeing how SanMar could be a part of events around the country to accelerate the important work of Breakthrough T1D. In 2024, SanMar became a National Sponsor for the Breakthrough T1D Walk program, and a Presenting Sponsor for the annual Beat the Bridge event in Seattle.
The 43rd annual Beat the Bridge event took place on May 10, 2025.
- More than 6,500 participants, volunteers and spectators attended
- Over $2.71 million was raised through this event
